Can't install correct Flash Player Version

Sep 7, 2012 7:08 PM

I have downloaded from the download center and the direct links provided at http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html and http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-pla yer-windows.html (downloaded and installed "Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)" directly). I originally tried to update but when that didn't work uninstalled and reinstalled. STILL, when I check my version at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html, I see I am running version 11.3.31.232 and need to update to 11.4.402.265. This is happenning on at least 2 computers in my home, both running Windows 7 32bit and both showing the latest version 11.4 in Control Panel -> Programs. I am really confused! I really appreciate any help.

What browser are you using?  Note that Google Chrome has Flash Player embedded, and it still uses FP 11.3
