So I'm still mastering the 'art' of creating SD wedding DVD's from HD footage... When I'm exporting my footage from Premiere, should I export as HDV or DV as quicktime movie before importing into Squeeze?

Looks like that's a PC only program, what does it do anyway? Is there a mac-comparable program to this?

Newer versions of Squeeze have a frameserver plug-in for Premiere that let you send your sequence directly to Squeeze.

But there is no plugin download on the page... I have premiere 5.5 and the new squeeze.
It should be part of the standard Squeeze installation.
