I finally purchased the upgrade to CS6 Design Premium. I backed up the download to another HD, but I would like to put it on DVD also. However, the Payload is too big to fit on a DVD. Can I unpack it, and save the contents across a couple of discs? Would I be able to re-install from this, or would I have to re-pack the files?
How big was that download? If less than 8.5GB, you could burn it onto a dual layer DVD.
But given how inexpensive they are, a 16GB USB thumb drive from a reputable source might be the best way to store that image.
I had thought of using a thumb drive, and likely will do that as well. I still would like to have it on optical media, since those are flat, and easier to file away for emergencies. The .7z archive is just a hair too big to fit on a single-layer; would an archive seamlessly span both layers? I've never used DL discs.
