I have an Apple MacBook Pro Retina without any internal DVD drive. InDesign fails to install whilst all the other CS6 Design Standard components install ok over a shared DVD from another computer on the network.
Spent quite a while finding a large enough USB memory stick, archiving the files on it, clearing it down, copying the DVD contents to it running the install program, it seemed to be copying ok but then... the installer reported the product as non-genuinue and counterfeit!
I have already deactivated the second copy of CS6 on my other laptop and my Adobe ID and serial number appear to be in order. I have an internet connection. Please help. I need InDesign installed on my new laptop asap!
If it is being detected as counterfeit then that would indicate that the install files are corrupt. Please try downloading the trial from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=indesign. You can then install the trial using your serial number.
