I'm getting an endless loop with the Setup Assistant. I recently had a software update of this product. Now, if I enter my information to register the product as per the Setup Assistant, I get this error message. If I opt out of registering, I get the same error message. If I cancel out of the Setup Assistant, I can't open Digital Editions and therefore can't use the product.
This was working just fine before the update.

You didn't allow access to ADE access to the keychain when it asked.
Try using 'Keychain Access' to see if there is a 'Digital Editions' application password item in your login keychain.
If there is get Info on it and go into the Access control tab. Once there go add ADE to the list of allowed applications (click on the + at the bottom).

Hi,
I had the same problem today. It's taken me ages and I have a massive headache but I've finally made it work!
Open Keychain Access. (I'm not sure where to find this, but type it into Spotlight)
Go to the Keychain Access menu and click Keychain First Aid
Select Repair
Click Start
Then make sure the padlock on the Keychain window is down.
Then try and run Digital Editions.
It worked for me.... good luck!
