AAMEE 3.1 Upgrade Question

Thanks - Do I need to uninstall version 3.0 before upgrading to version 3.1?  If so, I've already tried:

Once as a local admin which returns the error:

"APL-IT-TEST:~ macadmin$ /Volumes/Remove_AAMEE/Remove_AAMEE/Remove_AAMEE

Please launch Remove_AAMEE with Admin privileges.

Remove_AAMEE exiting with Return Code (2)"

Once as root which returns the error:

"APL-IT-TEST:~ root# /Volumes/Remove_AAMEE/Remove_AAMEE/Remove_AAMEE

Adobe Products are installed on the system. Please uninstall them first and retry.

Remove_AAMEE exiting with Return Code (5)"

    Hi,

If you want to install AAMEE 3.1 over AAMEE 3.0, you need not uninstall AAMEE 3.0. AAMEE 3.1 installer will automatically upgrade AAMEE 3.0 to AAMEE 3.1.

AAMEE uninstall utility only works when no Adobe products are installed on the machine. If your machine has any of the creative suite products like photoshop, dreamweaver etc. installed on the same machine with AAMEE, AAMEE uninstall utility will fail. So you first need to uninstall these products and then run the Remove_AAMEE utility. (You can have Adobe reader on the same machine without a problem)

As I said, you need not uninstall AAMEE 3.0 before upgrading to AAMEE 3.1, so you need not uninstall anything as of now. Just run the AAMEE 3.1 installer and it will work. As a suggestion, keep the machine having AAMEE as a seperate machine which does not has any other adobe products installed.(you can have adobe reader tough).
