My adobe reader 8 seems to have quit working. Won't upgrade. Abobe 10 download errors indicating 8 is running. Plz help.
Check if you have any adobe reader process running in the background using Task Manager or Activity Monitor and then try the same thing.
Reboot the machine and then check if it helps.

No Problem, try the above steps. It should work.
I don't know how to check if any adobe reader process is running in the background.
Go To Task Manager(Press Ctrl+Alt+Del key) and under Processes tab check if you have any process running by the name Reader or adoeb.
Reboot the machine and try the same as well.
Only item similar is AcroRd32.exe. No Reader or adobe.
Could I remove Adobe 8 under My Computer -Add or remove programs and then download Adobe 10?
Yes, you can do that. Remove Adobe reader from Add/Remove Programs and then run the adobe reader cleaner tool to remove the remaining files and folders.

Have downloaded the adobe reader cleaner tool...but assume I must now run it and I can't find it in my programs. Have removed Adobe 8.
