Hyperlinking to Word from Adobe PDF

Aug 29, 2012 11:36 AM

I need to create a hyperlink in a Word document that goes to a specific page of a PDF file.  Is this something that Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 can allow me to do, and if so, how do I do it?

    Hi PattieD01,

If you creating a hyperlink you can use "#page="pageno" (put page number witout quotes e.g. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw4.pdf#page=2)

It would open fw4.PDF in IE at page number 2.

    Hope it helps

To jump to page 2 use page=1.

    Hi PattieD01,

Would you mind attaching your file so that i can check if this related to specific file or not?

Sorry, I did not recieve any file.

Just for testing purpose, would it be possible for you to try with any other file. (Say "Download a PDF from Internet which has pages more than one) and try to check with the same.

I've tested the situation on Office 2003/2007/2010. And it is working fine on all of them.
