You will need to re-post your question in Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe Photoshop to get an answer because it is an image "re-touch" question and experts are the best people to handle this.

Where exactly do you want to darken the image. Is the image present in a PDF file?

The entire image is pale and difficult to read. I want to darken all the text on the page.
