Change in path editing functionality

It appears when dragging a path segment, in PSCS6, the direction lines change direction. Interesting change. How do I regain the legacy functionality?

    In the Options bar of Path Select Tool there is a checkbox for Constrain Path Dragging which can be switched to make the behaviour like pre-CS6.
