I have indesign 5.5 on my mac (Intel core 10.5.8) and InDesign becomes unresponsive immediately after opening the program. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I can't get anything to work on the program at all. Any ideas?

[Startup Disk] means whatever drive the Mac starts from (where the OS is installed), generally the hard drive, which is probably named Hard Drive, or something similar, unless you changed it.
You want to look inthe Library folder of the root directory onthe hard drive, not the Library folder under your user name. It can be a bit confusing.
Let's try getting some reports from your system that will tell us more about what's going on. Please see the instructions here for getting a hang report and then forcing a crash: Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding
Sorry, I'm new to this, not sure what you're asking me :/ I followed directions from another thread to try and send the signal but nothing happened... I just transferred all my files/apps/etc. from my old MacBook to my new Pro and the other CS5 apps seem to work fine, just not ID. Thanks for your help!
As Peter said in the previous post, Please provide the crash log to know at which module or function is InDesign crashing else there could many suggestions.
