Try resetting IE. Go to Tools, Internet Options, choose the last tab called Advanced, then "Reset". This will reset IE to its default functionality. This will most likely solve the problem. It will reset your default start page though, so be prepared to change that setting back. Let me know if this did the trick.
Most likely the Flash Player add-on was disabled; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/885448

I have completed the follow steps repeatedly and restarted my browser but still receive the security error while trying to preview my Flash project in a browser:
Trusted Location Settings...
Use this tab to specify locations on your computer that containing SWF or FLV content that you trust. Trusted content is not subject to the security rules that prevent content from accessing both the Internet and your local computer’s file system.
To specify trusted locations for developer testing
On the Advanced panel, under Developer Tools, click Trusted location settings and then click Add.
Enter the location on your computer that contains the trusted content, or click Browse files or Browse for folder to locate the file or folder to trust. If you specify a folder instead of a file, then all of its contents (including subfolders) become trusted as well.
Click Confirm to add the domain, file, or folder to the list of trusted locations.
I am using:
Flash Player Version: 11.3.300.265
OS: Mac OS 10.6.8 (64-bit)
Browser: Mozilla Firefox
Any clues?
Thanks,
Wes
I did discover what the issue was. There appears to be a bug in Dreamweaver CS6 as the only way to get the Flash animation to display in a browser preview was to delete the swfobject_modified.js file. Dreamweaver added this file to the Scripts folder when the html file was saved. In the past these files were required to view the Flash animation.
I too am against this issue, suddenly, though I have noticed my computer struggling with playing TV the past few days.
The note I get:
Unable to install the Adobe Protected Content Module.
Click here to upgrade your player.
My Browsers: Firefox, Safari, Opera
MacOS 10.5.8
Version of Flashplayer: 10.3.183.29 (doublechecked on your site)
Please advise.
I have spent several hours trying to install flash player. I have completed all of the steps recommended by Adobe Flash Player Help/Installation/Windows to no avail. I have as a result uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and am told that my download is successful. I am on Windows 7 Home Premium and have 64 bit op system. Can someone please help? Thank you.
After downloading, you need to install Flash Player. Close the browsers and double-click the downloaded file.
In the following page, you have step-by-step information: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-pla yer-windows.html#main-pars_heading_5
Could you please confirm, if you have done the same.
Also, ensure that you have disabled ActiveX Filter if you are using Internet Explorer 9:
What's your operating system?
If you have download issues, download Flash Player from the following link: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-pla yer-windows.html#main-pars_header
After downloading, close browsers and double-click the downloaded file.
Thanks,
Sunil
Hi, I have 64 bit windows 7 ultimate and my main browser is google chrome, but tried with the other and won't work!
Since yesterday that I'm with trouble to see stream videos, I can watch videos on youtube.
I tried several times to uninstall and make a new installation, and one of the times it worked, but that happened one time and when I restarted the labtop the problem appeared again!
The problem is when the instalation reaches the 7% stops every time and says download timetout!
I tried restoring the system, download directly from links that I saw in this forum, installing with the antivirus shutdown, but nothing works!
i am a developer and my SWF and FLV are not opening from local location , and i did as told to do and change security settings and added the file i want to open , but still it shows me the same error and says Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation , the following local application on your computer or network :
C:\Users\.........\untitled1.swf
is trying to communicate with this internet -enabled location :
to let this application communicate .............
as i said i clicked the settings...
then add the file to the global security settings .
and try to open the file again but shows me the same thing again !!
im using windows 7 32 bit
and the Adobe Flash Player -
You have version 11,5,31,137 installed
Why do changes to the settings made in the Flash Player preference pane in OS X (10.7.5) not 'take'? I've seen this same behaviour in several different recent versions of Flash. Very irritating to see that there'sat least nominallyoptions to control what Flash does/allows, but that the minimal interface to those options fails utterly to work. Not particularly confidence-inspiring, all things considered.
I have this error in this site..
http://pse.ph/stockMarket/companyInfo.html?id=233&security=140&tab=0
Flash Security Error: AnyChart can not be launched due to Flash Security Settings violation
I need help, I already re-install the latest Flash Player and Google Chrome still I cannot view stock charts.
I am using Internet Explorer 10 and I get no video only sound on website videos. I went to the adobe flash player help page and it tells you "The Settings Manager that you see above is not an image; it is the actual Settings Manager." but there is nothing shown above this comment. and I cannot find any help anywhere that is able to solve this problem. Any suggestions on how to fix this is appreciated.
