With release 23 (due today) you will be able to do this. With previous releases you need to publish two separate applications.

Are you creating a Single Edition application? Or are you creating a multi-issue application and are trying to publish your first issue?

If you are doing a Single Edition application (it contains exactly one folio, and does not allow downloads from within the application) then at the moment you need to publish two separate applications, one SD and one HD, if you want to have everything look exactly right on both devices.

Having said that, try using PDF for your folio format and see if it looks fine on both devices. Depending on the overlays you're using it might (although scrollable frames and pan and zoom will not look right).

I do not recommend using PNGs for either version. You will get better file sizes by using PDF.

As I mentioned in my first post the release of DPS shipping today will support a single PDF folio that will render properly on iPad 2 and iPad 3 devices. You can, within that single folio, configure scrollable frames to display as vector text (so they look good on all devices), and will be able to include additional HD assets for overlays like Pan and Zoom where special assets for HD are required.

    Hi Helen,

1 can i opload them both today

If you are creating a Single Edition application, no. A Single Edition application only supports containing a single folio.

2 what do you mean by pdf folios ... ill use bootonsm linksm multiple layersm in a varios ways ... videos and so on

When you use Folio Builder Panel, select "PDF" for the folio type and "PDF" for the article type when adding new articles. It will support all the interactivity you've created, but will use PDF as the underlying format instead of PNG or JPEG. It will give you a folio where the text will scale automatically on iPad devices and look good on both the iPad 2 and iPad 3.

3 i tried to outline the text and se it on a ipad tree it was not good.

    Outlining text isn't necessary.
