Absolute newbie here, just got my CS6 and currently studying Dreamweaver. I noticed how small the fonts and icons in the workspace are. I'm not talking about the text in Code View (that I know is easily adjusted in the magnification preference), I'm talking about the font of the labels and icons in panels, toolbars, etc. They are too small and they're straining my eyes. I need help pls. I'm using a laptop with 1920 x 1080 screen. Windows 7 64-bit Home Ultimate. Thanks so much in advance! ![]()
Check the DPI level of your display and adjust accordingly.

Thanks for your reply friend, unfortunately it did nothing to adjust the fonts and icons in the toolbars and panels (and whatnot) to a more readable size.
Even after adjusting the DPI to 150 or 200 and even the screen resolution to 2 notches lower....
No change - the fonts and icons in the panels and toolbars, etc., are still unbelievably small.
I had to stop doing tutorials awhile back bec I now have a headache from trying to read all those tiny fonts and icons.
I have done some research and to my dismay this apparently is an ongoing issue already voiced out by so many but remained unattended by Adobe.
The issue happens when one uses a High Definition screen or monitor. There is no inbuilt way to adjust or scale workspace font and icons within Dreamweaver (or Creative Suite products) and they also do not comply or follow UI adjustments made in Windows.
The funny thing is there is nothing fortuitous in the arrival of HD monitors.
For a supposed High Tech company selling supposedly intelligent products (PRECISELY to produce supposedly beautiful visual products) WHICH USERS PAY PREMIUM MONEY FOR - issues like this is the last thing we would expect. Worse, that it remains unsolved, unfixed or unattended for so many months and years since the issue first appeared is unthinkable.
This is fast becoming a farce although I am still hoping someone could ingeniously come up and point me to a novel solution PLEASE...Thanks!
Hi Nancy, thanks for replying. Unfortunately the Windows dispaly setting was one of those I tried tweaking first. But as I previously mentioned CS6 does not seem to follow any adjustment made in WIndows display setting...whether flicking the DPI to 150 or 200% or lowering the screen resolution ....still when you open Dreamweaver you would still see small fonts and icons in panels and bars and whatnot...
