Video Flicker

We are using adobe production premium cs6, this being used on Mac pro, lion os 10.7.4 with matrox mx02 max card. We facing a Video flicker issue on clips captured using VTR or clips taken as data to adobe premiere? Please advise how we can overcome this flicker issue. We have tried field change and flicker removal on adobe but seems nothing working.

    Hi, a few questions that will help us to help you-

     

    Format/source of video being captured?

     

    How is it coming in (analog, HDMI, etc)?

     

    Sequence/capture settings?

     

    Where do you see flicker - in Premiere Program window, or on MXO2 video output?

    When you say it's flickering does it go black and then flash black on really quickly?

    It`s noticable when there is motion on the video. does not go black

    I believe we could be talking about interlacing artifacting here. In the Program monitor window, right click and from the drop down menu, choose FIELDS and set to either FIRST or SECOND, rather than BOTH. Does that clear up the issue you see?

     

    Settings also accessible via the "wrench" icon.

    I have the same problem with my Blackmagic card, do you have a graphics card that supports mercury playback if so turn off (software only) and test you might have to capture again
