I just purchased and installed CS6 (physical media) on my new Windows 7 (64bit) pc. I believe there was one update. For smaller sites, ftp works as it did in CS3 (on different pc with XP Pro). I have another site that has a lot of folders/files and seems like I can't even click on the 'Test' button and it connect. I know it works because in my cs3 version it works fine.
Is it possible I can't import settings from cs3? Are their known ftp issues?
Thanks.
Open CS3. Go to Site > Manage Sites > Export Site definition settings (.ste).
Save to a safe place on your hard drive or external drive.
Open CS6. Go to Site > Manage Sites > Import Site definition settings.
For a handful of people, there were some reported FTP issues in CS6 (I did not experience them). The 12.0.1 update took care of them. If you don't have it yet, be sure to install it.

Thanks Nancy,
Yes, this is what I did.
I have Version 12.0 Build 5842 installed. If I go to Help > Updates ... it says I do not need any updates. In the link provided, it talks about Dreamweaver CS6 12.0.1. Is Dreamweaver CS6 12.0.1 the same as Dreamweaver CS6 12 Build 5842?
Or is the link a manual download?
Thanks.

Seems to be some confusion with the update numbering and build number provided by Adobe.
The Adobe blog http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2012/07/dreamweaver-cs6-update-12-0 -1.html
says 12.0.1 is Build 5842 - which you already have.
However, DW 12.0.1 reports via Help > About that version 12.0 is installed.
The build number is the only way to be sure that you have the updater correctly installed - which you do.
