So, for a week, I have been getting a lot of errors on youtube. About 1/3 of the time a video works, sometimes after a refresh. Othertimes, I get an error or if I try to change quality to HD I get an error. So far, I haven't had this problem on my linux laptop and I have yet to see anyone else have this problem. Strange thing is, it does the same on Chrome, and IE
I have tried:
Yes. I get the menu you get with the flash videos. The settings, global settings, and About Adobe Flash Player verison (latest version). That reminds me. I should have added up top, I have also tried to clear flash's cache, and expand the amount of disk space youtube can use.
if it's hardware related, you could try to disable hardware acceleration. right-click>settings any flash content and un-select, from the first tab, "hardware acceleration..." restart the browser to see if the issue is resolve.
another thing to try is update your graphics card driver...
It was already disabled, so I tried enabling it. That didn't work. I then tried updating my graphics card driver. That was able to get me a bit of a better loading time and the ability to switch to 720p but when I went to 1080p an error occured. When I tried to go back to 720p, the sound played but the video didn't show and I couldnt click any of the youtube buttons. I am wondering if this is on the ISP side or router side since my brother has told me that youtube is wonky on his computer too...
YouTube player error. Refreshing fixes the problem for the 1080p problem, but not the fact I can't view it when it is available. Though for the most part, the Graphics Driver update fixed it for a lot of other videos. The only problem with 1080p is still coming from this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EzDRpkfaO4 Though there are still sometimes problems with loading that is fixed by refreshing.
My speed is about 25 Mbps.
