image duration in premiere pro cs5

Sep 20, 2012 1:27 AM

Hi,

i'm editing a video in 1280x960 with pr pro cs5, squared pixels, 25 fps.

i would set the image duration to 1,5 sec, but premiere doesen't allow it, and I can't set the image duration in the interval from 1,25 sec to 2 sec; I can set a duration lower than 1,25 sec, or higher than 2 sec.

does anyone know why?

Thanks

Assuming you are setting the still image duration under Edit / Preferences / General, please keep in mind that the value entered must be in FRAMES and not SECONDS

    Thanks

As Jeff points out, in Edit>Preferences, you would set your Stills Duration to 37, or 38 Frames, and would have you 1-1/2 sec. Duration at 25 FPS. In CS 5 and later, you can change the Duration of multiple Stills in the Project Panel, by Selecting them and Rt-clicking on them. Note: if those Stills are on the Timeline, Delete them from the Timeline, change the Duration and then drag them back to the Timeline.

    Good luck,
