Please Help with my Serial Number

I've already downloaded and am using CS6 as a trial version.  I've received my serial number, but when I enter it to licsense the software I receive an invalid serial number message.  I don't have any other number.  Please help!

    Where did you receive your serial number from? What CS6 software are you referring to?

    The CS6 software if Adobe Design and Web Premier.  I purchased it through a discounted offer that my school receives (Cal State University, Fullerton).  When I purchased it, I was emailed a confirmation with the serial number embedded.

    What error message do you get? If possible please attach a screenshot of the error message.
