Since the newest update I am encountering an issue while editing pictures on my Asus Transformer Prime.
After some time while I'm working with different layers (imported a picture on 4MP resolution), all of them all of a sudden disappear (or, to be more specific, all layers change to empty ones).
I already tried reseting the application, it didn't change anything.
Hi Florian, I'm sorry to hear that you run in to such an issue.
Are you able to describe the behavior in kind of reproducible steps?
How many layer (blend modes applied?)
which tool was selected. What was your last action before the issue occurred
I did the following steps more than 3 times, always getting the same result:
The tool selected when the issue occurred was nearly always either the boxed selection or the lasso selection tool. I had 3-5 layers at the moment it occurred. One of them set to invisible the others to full opacity.
Also I noticed, that when selecting or extracting the part of a picture, it takes far longer to load and the application sometimes gets unresponsive during that time (after this, sometimes also the layers disappeared).
Thanks for the quick answer!
that's atleast something - is there currently any possible workaround? I'd appreciate if you could keep me updated on this, since using the app is almost impossible/useless with this issue.
There are several workarounds.
- you can have your top layer invisible and duplicate the buttom layer, extract the selection, create a new layer and apply the effect
- or you can turn on the visiblity of the top layer and then choose extract and create a new layer from there and apply the effect. Hide the layer afterwards
The bug occurs when you have your top layer invisible and start with extract of a selection applied to the bottom one of the layer stack
Hope that answers your question.
