I want to create a single quiz from which it will be possible to identify the students level of knowledge across a range of different topics.
Up to now I have been working on the assumption it was always the overall score that Captivate sent to the LMS -and so the only way I could achieve my objective was to create one quiz per topic and use the % result as the pass/fail indicator.
Today I find that Captivate can be set to send question specific data to the LMS rather than the overall % score.
Clearly I need to talk with my IT people to see if in fact our LMS can handle this sort of data.
1. Has anyone used the question specific data to LMS option and does it work ?
2. Does the information sent from Captivate to the LMS display the questions and the student's answers to each question ?
We too have tracked Captivate's 'interaction data' to a few different LMS products with success.
Whether the LMS can handle that data completely depends on the LMS though. You'll want to ask your IT folks, or better yet your LMS vendor, if the LMS supports 'interaction data'. If so, be sure your Captivate settings has 'Send interaction and resume data' checked and you should then be able to report on that data from the LMS...again, however your LMS handles that...
