What is the maximum file size

When loading files from my Samsung Galaxay Tab 10.1 into Debut I occasionally get an error message: "file too big." But I cannot find anywhere any information about file size limitations. The files in question load and display properly in the native gallery app. It seems odd that they would not do so in this app which advertises "View files at their original sizes."
