Tags: #photoshop #problem #issue #images #cs6

I am running a windows Vista 32Bit software. I just decide to finally use my cs6  photoshop and when i try to open an image in photoshop the board remainds blank but the layer panel says there is an image and shows a preview of the image like it normally does in the layer panel. Everything else works fine but the image won't show at all.

any suggest would be wonderful

You probably need to update your graphics card driver from the graphics card makers website, not with windows update.

To verify the issue is with your video card, go to Edit > Preferences > Performance, and uncheck "Use Graphics Processor". When you open images after that (changing this setting will not effect any currently open images) and they display correctly, then your video card and/or it's driver is the issue.

You loose a bit, with that setting, so the ultimate would be to do, as suggested in Reply # 1 - update your video card's/chip's driver to the latest version.

    1. What is the make and model of your video card/chip?
    2. What is the version and date of the installed driver?
    3. What does the mfgr's. Web site show for the latest driver, for your model card, and your OS?

    Good luck,

    What Bill said.

Here are the features that depend on the graphics processor:

    Noel,

Thank you for that Adobe KB Article. I had the one for Premiere Pro CS 6 bookmarked (has been using MPE/CUDA since CS 5), but had not seen the one for PS.

    Appreciated,
