I've been told that fixing my generic "File" files associations will help address a problem I have with all of my icons and their associated programs taking on the Adobe icon appearance.  I don't know where my generic File files associations are or how to access them.  Let alone how to fix them.  Can anyone stear me in the right direction.  I am way out of my depth.

Either Extras --> Folder Options --> File Associations or the same under the Organize button, depending on which version of Windows you use and whether you actually have the menu visible.
