Photoshop Elements 11 does not install

When I install photoshop elements trail  I recieve the following error:

Exit Code: 7

Please see specific errors and warnings below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR: DF027, DW063 ... WARNING: DW016, DW036 ...

I have already restatred and tried again a number of times and tried on a different browser. I m having similar troubles with photoshop CS6 (tried this as an alternative). Also I already turned off verifying checksum due to previous issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is not enough specific information in the install log summary to advise you.  I would recommend you review your installation logs to determine the cause of your installation failure.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation logs at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

The DW063 error is indicating you have a permission issue with Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11.  The installer is unable to write to these locations.  Please adjust the permissions for Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and all enclosed items and then try the installation again.

I have the exact issue, with the same error messages regarding permissions.  The installer does not install an Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 folder at all (only the Organizer) and then fails.  I have restarted several times, have no other apps running.  I cannot adjust the permissions for the folder as it does not exist.

I finally got it to install by deleting the referenced font in the list above

"/Library/Fonts/NuevaStd-BoldCond.otf" Error 0(Seq 1834)

I then restarted in Safe mode and the application finally installed.

Not sure which solved it but that worked.

Does anyone know what the 'payload' is referring to? This was the last error when started in safe mode with the font removed. I could not find the permissions to turn them off?

PollyannaStewart the DW027 error is still indicating you are facing permission issues with /Applications/Adobe Elements 11 Organizer.app/.  It appears the installer is unable to AdobeHeitiStd-Regular.otf font into the package.  Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html details how you can adjust your permissions.  You may want to consider adjusting permissions on the Applications folder and then clicking on the gear icon and choosing to Apply to enclosed items.

Alternately you may want to try creating a new administrator account and see if you still experience installation difficulties under that account.  It is possible that the file permissions for your current user account have become compromised which is why you are continuing to experience installation difficulties.

Got me but I see it is referring to another font/font folder early on in the error list:

Elements 11 Organizer.app/Contents/Required/PDFL/Fonts/AdobeHeitiStd-Regular.otf" to "/Applications/Adobe Elements 11 Organizer.app/Contents/Required/PDFL/Fonts/AdobeHeitiStd-Regular.otf" Error 0(Seq 4198)

I'd try deleting that font (the whole folder if it has one) and attempt it again.

Peg it is installing into the Elements package.  You can try deleting the folder but in order to view it you will need to right click on the Adobe Elements Organizer and select Show Package Contents.

I was having very similar issues. My issue turned out to be a corrupted installer. Originally downloated from Amazon when purchased. Kept getting 23 permission issue errors at the end of the install from items failing to be written or deleted during installation.

Finally, redownloaded the trial from Adobe's site which gives option of installing with license. This install went flawlessly.

Problem solved. I would never have guessed that the problem was the original installer.
