I've installed it by downloading from your site a half dozen times and from install_flash_player.exe - every time I've installed it Adobe says "Installation Successful" but when I go to sites that need to use it, they all say it's not installed.

Here's my system:

  • Win7 64-bit
  • Firefox 17.01

According to Control Panel > Programs and Files:

  • Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX 11.5.502.135 is installed
  • Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin 11.5.502.135 is installed

Please help me! I'm going totally nuts with this.

I have split your post into a separate topic, as your problem is different from the other topic.

In Firefox, Tools | Add-ons | Plugins, do you see Shockwave Flash 11.5.502.135, and is it enabled?

What files do you have in C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash ?

Hi Pat,

Enabling did it! I do feel like a fool, but what can I say. I've done so many dumb things in the last few weeks I'm getting used to it. On the upside, it's not likely I'll do it again.

Have a great new year in 2013,

Julie
