Share Technologies will not install, why?

I am trying to install Abobe Photoshop Elements 10 from a disk and it will not install Shared Technologies, Why?

Not really, does it matter that I am running Windows 7 64 bit? I built the computer myself.

PSE 10 does run on win7 64 bit; so there's no platform specific limitation.

Please restart your computer and try to install the app again. If you still see a failure, please share the logs:
