For the last 24hrs, when I try to install Flash, my Avast anti-virus tells me it's infected

This is what I'm being told:

Infection Details

URL:http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/fla...
Process:C:\Users\chris\AppData\Local\Temp\instal...
Infection:Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]

This has never happened before, and the installation stops at 47% and says "download timeout"

Any ideas??

I appreciate your suggestions. I have tried both but I'm still getingt the warning and the "download timeout". Not sure why the same computer, same browser (SWIron) and same Avast av is all the sudden causing these problems.  (but I did see where some av softward is falsely identifying it as infected)  Why this just started yesterday makes it strange since nothing has changed on the computer. I've tried it on several different browser with the same results
