Trying to load CS-4 to a Win8 machine?

Have Master Collection CS-4 and have already removed from "old" machine.  Am trying to install to new Win8, but it keeps being blocked by an "open" Internet Explorer program -- even though I've turned EVERYTHING off (that I can find).  Is the a workaround to re-install on a more-recent OS?  Also tried loading CS-5 Web Collec tion with similar results.  Hate the idea of buying all new CS programs only because of the new operating system.  Please help with suggestions.

If you are on a Windows machine, open the Task Manager to see what things are running when it says something is opened that you believe is not.  If you find it open, close it there.  I don't know what the equivalent action would be for a Mac.

You can do the same task with the Activity Monitor on Mac OS.  It is located in Applications\Utilities\Activity Monitor.

You can also try Force quiting the application by going to the Apple Menu and selecting Force Quit.

The user specified Windows 8 in the Subject line.

Use the Task Manager's Processes tab to terminate any iexplore.exe instances that may run in the background.
