Adobe photoshop elements 8 causes the computer to shut down when I click on it. I can't reinstall the program. Suggestions for troubleshooting? All other programs work fine.

If you cannot reinstall it, how are you clicking on it such that it crashes the computer?  What operating system does your computer have - if it is new it might not be compatible with PSE 8 ?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I had installed PSE8 about 2 years ago and it had worked well until today. When ir crashed the computer, I tried uninstalling PSE8 and then reinstalling the program. No luck. T he operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.

What exactly means "can't reinstall"?
