extension installed but missing in FL CS3

Jul 18, 2008 3:50 AM

I have installed in Flash CS3 with the latest version of the extension manager some extensions / components, they appear listed and active, associated to Flash CS3, but when I get to the components library in Flash they do not appear. I've done the restart the machine, the application several times, I have reloaded the list as adviced in the help section and they do not appear, not even when I go to (this is a Mac by the way) to the applications > configuration > components they are not there. I have no other extension managers installed but can't see them in the application itself. So how come they appear in the extension manager fine, active, associated to flash CS3 and they are not even in the components folder within the application.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    check in */users/*username*/library/application support/adobe/flash cs3/

there should be one folder that is named after the language code for the language flash was installed.
    (e.g. en/de/es)
The components should be installed there. If it is not there you should be able locate it and manually install them. I have found by me they tend to install in the wrong language folder, and I must manually move them.

    Hope this helps.

I'm brand new to Flash, so you may very well have known this.. but I just installed the Extensions as well, and while they show up fine in Dreamweaver, they didn't in Flash. --Until I actually opened something. And then there were a whole host of addtional options -- including Window > Components, where they were found.

Again, my thoughts may be very basic, but perhaps this is the simply thing you need.
