Serial number already used

I purchased Production Premium CS6 MAC UE student version for the MAC. I had Illustrator only before. I went to the Adobe section for students and entered the product code which in turn generated a serial number. I then proceeded to install the package and entered the serial number when prompted during the installation. The installation did not complete successfully. Now when I try to re-install, it says that the serial number has already been used. How do i reset this and successfully install on the MAC?

You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.
