Installed Flash player with admin account on WIN 7 Enterprise desktop but player is not getting automatic updates because Windows task to update player was not created. During installation I checked the option run updates automatically. Installed on several other machines - getting the same result. What needs to be done to get player updates on schedule? Thank you.

Automatic updates are not installed immediately after a new version is released.

Hello Pat,

Thank you for reply. The Flash player was upgraded from version prior to 11.2 to 11.2 or higher exactly as it described in the manual. The automatic updates turned on under admin account and task created, scheduled and executed under admin account.

This morning I did additional research.

The updates were successfully installed up to version 11.6. Starting release of 11.7 even update was completed successfully the 11.6 installation was not updated to 11.7. I checked lot of PC computers in the company and all of them have the same issue.

Some people in finance department using WebFilings application which always checks for the latest version of Flash Player. When they tried to use this application last time they received the error that Flash Player is not at a latest version. They could not update their desktops themselves because they do not have admin privileges on desktop. We had to go to each machine and manually update Flash Player.

Pat, do you have any suggestions how to resolve this issue?

Regards

Anatoly Yusim
