I tried to update Camera Raw for my CS5 installation (Mac) and the update fails.
The Camera Raw update software asked me to update Adobe Application Manager.
After installing this software, the Camera Raw update says (in my local language)
that the updates cannot be applied and that I should contact the system administrator
for updates, since thet have been deactivated by the administrator.
After installing Adobe Application Manager I am furthermore no longer able to
update my other CS5 products (Premier Pro, Flash). When trying to update these
products I receive a similar error message as for Camera Raw. I would also like to u
pdate Extension Manager.
Before updating Adobe Installation Manager I updated Photoshop and Illustrator,
which seemed to work ok. After installing the recent version of Adobe Application
Manager, it appears as if updates are no longer possible.
I would appreciate your help to solve these issues.

If you are using CS5, then the last update for Adobe Camera Raw(ACR) will be 6.7. What error message do you get while installing it? An error screenshot would help.
Try installing the ACR update manually and check if it installs fine or you get the same error.

Please provide more details about the exact issue and the steps you have already tried.

Dear Arpit,
Thank you very much for your quick response.
Enclosed is a screen shot of the error message in Swedish:
I also downloaded the Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 update from your link
and tried to install it, which resulted in a similar error message.
The procedure I have followed for installing the updates is
by downloading dmg files from the Adobe server and
trying to install these manually.
When I open Adobe Application Manager I only see references
to products in the CS6 suite. Do you know if that could be a source
to the problems?

* Trying to update Camera Raw with versions 6.5 and 7.X which both failed.
* Trying to update Premiere Pro manually, which failed.
* Writing to the forum.
* Trying to upade Camera Raw with version 6.7, which failed.

Do you have CS6 installed on this machine along with CS5? What all adobe applications have you installed?
What is the version of your Mac OSX?

I don't have CS6 on the machine.
I do have Lightroom 4.4, Acrobat Pro 10.1.6 and
the CS5 suite with After Effects, Bridge, Device Central, Encore, Extension Manager,
Flash Catalyst, Flash, Illustrator, Media Encoder, OnLocation, Photoshop,
Premiere Pro and SoundBooth
In addition, I have DNG Converter, Media Player, Adobe Reader 10.1.6,
I also have a couple of older Adobe programs that I don't use, but I have
avoided removing in case that could cause unforeseen side effects.

At some point I have also downloaded Extension Manager CS5.5.
As far as I know I should not have any CS6 products unless some
minor component could have been included in a previous manual upgrade.
I'm using Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.

The error decodes to : " Could not apply the updates. Contact your administrator to install updates on your computer. Updates have been disabled by the administrator."
So my next question will be, is this machine connected to your home network or to some kind of corporate network environment?
How have you actually installed the application i.e. from a disc or download or silent installation ?
If its a home mahcine, then i would like you to rename the "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat" to "OLDAdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat" present under "Startup Disk>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/ " and move it to desktop.
Try installing the updates now and check.

Thank you very much. Now the updating procedures are running again,
much better than before and I have updated most of the programs.
I still have one rmaining problem, however::

I located the log file Adobe Illustrator CS5 15.0.2 04-15-2013.log at
/Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers which shows the following error
ERROR: DF019: Unable to locate file to patch at "/Applications/Adobe Illustrator CS5/Adobe Illustrator.app/Contents/Resources/es.lproj/InfoPlist.strings"(Seq 52)
ERROR: DW063: Command ARKPatchCommand failed.(Seq 52)
ERROR: DW050: The following payload errors were found during install:
ERROR: DW050: - Adobe Illustrator CS5_15.0.2_AdobeIllustrator15-mul: Install failed
I also tried to install this update manually, resulting in a similar error.
Could you help me to fix this remaining issue?

Sure i will try.
Anyway, i think you should uninstall and re-install Illustrator CS6 and then try to update it.
Check if it helps.

Ok. Before I uninstall Illustrator CS 5, may I ask if you know if the
installation package for my CS 5 suite Production Premium works
as it should also under OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
My OS X Installation has been upgraded twice since I installed
CS 5 on my laptop and also the CS suite has gone through two
updates from CS 5 via CS 5.5 to CS 6.
