Lightroom 4 installation program

I downloaded LR 4 and a window came up that asked 'what program would you like to use to open this program?'  I tried to open the download directly and the same window came up.  I am using windows 7 and this was a purchased copy.  What am I missing?

Hi Figgy Photo,

Please let me know what file are you trying to run. If you have downloaded Lightroom then there must be an executable file (.exe extension) which when run starts extracting the files and initiates the installation.

The file is not an .exe.  It is Lightroom_4_LS11

This is the file that I was instructed to download through My Order screen after I purchased the program.  What installation program should I have?

This file 'Lightroom_4_LS11'  is an executable file and it should run when double Clicked.

If it does not run for you then you need to check the file association on your OS.

Hi Foggy Photo

Please download LR trial from here : http://www.adobe.com/go/trylightroom/

and install it again ...There will be an .exe file which you can run to start your installation ....
