How to produce PDF with typing tables?

I use Framemaker 9. I want to generate PDF files from FM. The final version will look like forms, and the client could fill in information. How could I achieve it?

I'd try setting it up as a simple table so that you can align stuff --

words on one side fill-in-the-blank on the second.

Use either the underscore character (my choice) to indicate the blanks, or

draw horizontal lines with the graphic tool.

I'd probably turn off all or some of the table rules, but you may want to

play with that or shading to indicate what to fill in.

You could always use postscript text frames and the appropriate "pdfmark" entries to define the form controls.

Or you could try using Shlomo's TimeSavers + Form Assistants as Yves suggests. This lets you use simple entries in FM markers and soesn't require an intimate knowledge of postscript language programming.

Just keep in mind that if anything changes in the FM source file(s), you will need to re-create all of the work in Acrobat again for a fillable form. If this is a one-time requirement, then just doing it in Acrobat is fine. But if you need to maintain/modify the forms then the subsequent work will add significant time (resouce issues?).
