When I try to open FrameMaker 11 the process fails. The problem seems to do with the gomarkup.dll file. How do I solve his problem?

Fails in what way? Is this a standalone install of FM or part of the TCS? Did you have full admin rights to your c:\ drive when it was installed? I would look at uninstalling & reinstalling again too.

I've reinstalled FrameMaker a number of times.

The initial error message is:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error!

Program:C.....

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

I click OK amd let Windows collect information. I then get a dialog box that asks if I want to send more information about the problem to Microsoft.

I go to the Event Viewer and get the information about the dll.

Any ideas or suggestions?

What o/s are you running? Is your FM a standalone or part of the suite? Are you a local admin?

Slightly unusual set up but lots of other are running FM inside VMs too - I'd be tempted to first give myself full rights to my c: drive - it's not automatic in Win7 even if you are the local admin. Then I would use a clean uninstaller like revouninstaller to scub out all traces of FM and Acrobat. Then I would reinstall. If all that fails, then I think a call to Adobe Support is in order - it's usually a free call for installation issues.

Reviving... as I'm hitting the same issue as of today.

Pretty much the same setup as

Re: gomarkup.dll error

Tried re-installing, cleaning, etc., to no avail.
