I have recently updated to OS X Mavericks but now I can't open ANY of my saved Premiere Pro CS6 Project files!! No matter which way I try opening them, double clicking them from finder, file > open in Premiere Pro, or opening a new project then importing it, all result in the program crashing and displaying the following alert message "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project." The only way to continue is to Force Quit Premiere Pro!!!

I'm really stuck with out being able to open old projects! Any fixes at all would be just amazing!!!

In Windows, you can right click the program icon and select a "compatibility mode" option from a popup list... does OSX have that?

I don't pay a LOT of attention to Mac messages, but I have read of other problems people are having with "old" programs with the latest Mac upgrade

The update that will be released soon resolves the issue on the systems where we've been able to reproduce this crash, but then so does changing the Language and Region. So since  changing the language hasn't worked in your case, I can't make any promises that the update will work in your case.

I suggest playing around with the language/region settings some more. And in case you didn't catch this detail be sure to restart the computer after doing so each time.
