CFMX7 Multiserver Upgrade

I'm planning an upgrade from CFMX6.1, which is deployed with JRun, to CFMX7. The instructions say I need to uninstall JRun first. Can I not just update JRun first? It's not a big deal but I want to be clear on the process.

    I thought I had my upgrade all planned out but messed up this installation. Please correct me but I could not find anywhere within the ColdFusion support area any documentation or posts on how to do a CFMX6.1 to CFMX7 multiserver upgrade. I spent to date almost a week redoing our site. I ended up installing the 'standard' where before I had 4 instances.

    I need some guidance before I go on to installing to our production servers.
