I am receiving a 'failed to import document' error when trying to publish to any format.  Is there a way to view a log or something to see what is going on?

What are you publishing - a book; an individual FM file? Are all of the files opened in FM with no warning mesages?

FM creates a <bookfile_name>.htm log file of the process in the same folder as the output.

It is a book and there are no warning messages.  All files are open

Usually in a book file, there is more than one file. So this should at least provide some clues as to where the problem arose. The log file lists the operations on FM files sequentially in the book as it tries importing them Can you post the info in the log file?

Do you have five files in your book? If so, it looks like the error might be in the adminstr... file. Do you have any insets in this file?

When I use the FM sample Ecology book that also has five files (TOC, 3 fm files and index), I get the following:

I'll examine the file more and respond a bit later.  Thanks for your assistance.
