All of a sudden, the SharePoint RoboHelp version control "link" stopped connecting to the team's local versions.  Now, once we logout of RH, we have to redownload the SP version to our computers in order to continue working.  We are on RoboHelp 10 and did not have this issue previously.  We do not know what may have triggered it (perhaps an enterprise deployment of new security software?). Any thoughts or ideas on how to re-establish and MAINTAIN the version control connection?

Strange. Try opening the XPJ with notepad. Do you see a bunch of

VC::provider and other vc:: settings under miscproperties?

Kind regards,

Willam

Thanks William - Yes, there were 4 "VC::" items:

vc::agent

vc::provider

vc::database

vc::cookie

Should there be no vc:: items?

What we did to solve the problem so we could move on was delete the project, rename the XPJ file, and reupload to SharePoint using the new name.  So far, so good, but it would be nice to know what actually happened, so we could fix it should it happen again.

Thanks much!

The VC:: items are the settings for version control. They should be there.

Could it be that the CPD became corrupt?If your remove that and open the

project, does it work then?

Kind regards,

Willam
