Import audio and synch to screencast?

I inherited (and have been asked to fix) a Captivate presentation whose audio quality is dreadful. I do not want to re-record the screencast, I'd just like to re-record it in synch with whats on the screen. Is that possible? Conversely, can I import audio and somehow modify the screencast to synch up with the audio?

I am new to captivate.

Best,

Janet

That depends largely on how the original recording was done.  If it was done screen capture by screen capture with added objects such as captions, text entry boxes etc.  Then it should be reasonably simple to add new voiceover audio and time the elements to sync with it.

However, if the original capture was video demo or full motion recording (FMR) then you can't do a lot about the sequencing of the actions.
