Flash 13.0.0.182 in Opera and Firefox on Windows 7 64 bit runs horribly slowly.

Opera 20

Firefox 28

Windows 7 64 bit pro

Using nVidia GeForce 630

Q6600 quadcore 8 gigs ram

As per title.  Runs horribly slowly.  Cannot even render 480 video without jerkiness and artifacts.

Seems to chew up to 30% CPU easily with 720 HQ.

Netflix with Silverlight runs quite fine.

Video played on the machine with VLC, Windows Media Player, and Winamp are quite fine.

Odd. My Win 7 Ultimate X64 machine has FF 28 and OperaNext 21. Neither have issues.

Have you tried cycling your modem and or router?

Have you checked the firmware in each?

Have you cleared system cache (not browser cache - system cache, using Disk Cleanup)?

17 Mbps dowload speed with modem & router - not their problem anyway - other video is fine - nothing to inhibit download speeds.

System cache not issue either - I had already cleaned out every cache on the computer.

If you force HTML5 on YouTube, does it still run slowly?

IF it does, (and HTML5 uses no plug-in) then the problem is elsewhere.
