Update Failed - After Effects

I am absolutely fed up with this problem on my IMAC (not a problem on the Windows 8 PC just the MAC)

The constant updates, often to Creative Cloud itself) are a pain and before this particular problem Creative Cloud Installer insisted on updating everything.

How, exactly, are you trying to install this update?

Why are you trying to install the After Effects 12.1 update? That is two versions behind. See this page for the most recent updates:

Thanks for pointing that it was trying to use an out of date update 12.1 on 16th April. I did not initiate the update  - it was the Creative Cloud Updater that has been trying to do this so clearly trying to update with the wrong older update file for some wierd reason. Remarkably, and after a very protracted update it has now this evening updated After Effects and not reported any error. I presume the Creative Cloud Updater has now been fixed. Thanks again for your help.
