I am attempting to install the adobe creative cloud installation manager on my work machine. I installed it at home with no difficulty. Immediately upon executing the download stub, I receive a message indicating the installation cannot proceed due to Error Code: 1000.
No further information is provided, and my seraches do not seem to identify a definition for this error code.
The only possibility I can think of is my company uses Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. Otherwise, no other adobe applications are installed.
Any assistance would be most appreciated.
Hi. We have the same problem. And reason is because installation media was on network shared folder.
We moved CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe to local storage. Now it works!

Yup, that's it.
I'd imagine quite some work must have gone into making the installer stub NOT run from such a location.

Seriously?
Good grief. Has Adobe started an Unusability Department?
Yes, this worked for me as well.

Worked for me too. Thank you!

I wish I'd seen this before banging my head on the problem for fifteen minutes. Adobe should certainly do a better job with listing Error codes. It is indeed an issue with installing from network storage. Drop the installer to your local drive and off you go!

I'm not sure about it.
