Jul 26, 2007 10:04 PM

I am don't know much about codes but I know how to put stuff together in programs. I was wondering, Does fireworks use CSS and Javascript to create the menu bars? Also, I was wondering, can I make a transparent/translucent menu in fireworks? I wanna have a menu where you can see a lil bit through it but no fully though it. Can anyone help me out? Help would be VERY appriciated.

It uses images + HTML + Javascript. But don't use Fireworks to create
anything other than the images themselves.
Its HTML and Javascript code creation is not the best.

Use the opacity controls in Fireworks to create your desired effect then
    export to PNG.

I would recommend reading up a bit before embarking on using transparencies and stuff like that. Let's worry about getting your menu working as you want it first before going any further.

Now before I say anything else, I just want you to know for future reference with Fireworks specific questions you should post it over in the Fireworks forum as the people there will be more knowledgeable about the topic 9/10 times because the people helping there are focused on that program.

Now, about how the menu bar is made, it is made mostly using javascript if not entirely if I am not mistaken. As far as being able to select the text in the menu bar I am not sure why that is happening. If you could, post a link to that page because that will be the only way to tell if the code is ok or if there was a problem generated between the importing/exporting between FW and DW.
