Bugs, bugs, and more bugs

found some cruicial bugs in flash cs3.

1. When making "kisekae" for mobile phone menues (in Japan), i have problems with the colors property inspector. i select one color but it chooses its own color. if i select a mc, the properties inspector does not show. then i have to close the program completely and restart.

2. selecting frame and adding a frame using F6 or right-clicking, it does not duplicate the previous frame. it makes an empty keyframe instead.

3. when using "Device Central" and developing "kisekae menus", and when I test DoCoMo N903 and N904 series, "Device Central" remains open, but Flash cs3 crashes.

So far nothing yet, but this has prompted me to return to Flash 8.

Has anyone found any similar bugs in cs3?

    Can you provide more info about your system:
    - language of your system (English or Japanese)
    - what OS are you using
    - language of CS3

    imodejon, have you opened a support case with Adobe Japan? It would be helpful if you could. It's simple for them to test the English version of Flash CS3 on a J OS (but harder for us here in the states to test on the J OS, though not impossible. ) We have some particularly good agents who support Flash and they could speed up the process of figuring this out. If you could open a case and give me a case number I'd ask them to check it out.

    In the meantime, it would be helpful if you could post a sample of your kisakea menu FLA. I have not been able to reproduce behaviors 1, 2 or 3 in my own tests on English OS. So it could also be something file-specific (or system specific...)

    Thank you for your quick response.
    If you have an email that I could send you, that would be better. The 2 carriers restrict us from publicly displaying the codes/.fla files of (for some reason...).
    Honestly, i think the developers here are using Flash 8 instead of CS3 for this and possibly other reasons.
    I will send the report to Adobe Japan and keep you in the loop.

    You can send an email to the Japanese agent after you open a case :)

    That said, you can't use Flash 8 with Device Central. So you're saying that items 1 and 2 in your original post possibly refer to Flash 8 (I haven't heard of either of those in Flash 8 either though.. ) But if that's the case please open TWO cases. One for the Flash 8 behaviors, and another for the Device Central problem. Thanks!
