    Ya know...

I'm getting really tired of this stuff....all these posts where the obvious purpose is to get links to some business put on a highly visible site. (At least, the search engine bots come by, and SE ranking is influenced by the number of links to your site...especially from major sites.)

Would anyone care to comment on the advisability of writing to the companies that are being advertised by these spammers? Maybe they're not aware of the methods employed to get their search engine rankings improved.

No...I mean, do you think Adobe would care if I wrote to these companies? (Would Adobe become annoyed with me?) They don't seem to care about the forum spammers, though, as they don't remove the posts or posters....

Possibly a Quixotic exercise, I agree, but still...

I doubt that they would even know, or care.

I dunno. All five posts made by thegendreamer are still in existence. Maybe I'm just impatient.

I don't have links in my profile and Murray's links are relevant to Web design. The SEO spammers are abusing this forum for their own unrelated purposes, not to help anyone with a question on Fireworks in particular or Web design/development in general. They can make no justification for their actions, which have no redeeming qualities.

One might even argue that these SEO spammers are afoul of three of the T&C for this site:
    # Disrupt, interfere or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Site or other affiliated or linked sites, Materials or Services.
    # Engage in any chain letters, contests, junk e-mail, pyramid schemes, spamming, surveys or any other duplicative or unsolicited messages (commercial or otherwise).
    # Market any goods or services for any business purpose (including advertising and making offers to buy or sell goods or services), unless specifically allowed to do so by Adobe.
