Hi,

I am trying to create a new Business Catalyst site in Dreamweaver 6 and CS6 stop working. I get the following message:

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available.

Any solutions?

Can you tell me at what point during the process this occurs?

For example, if it happens right after signing in, after clicking the New Business Catalyst Site button in the Site menu, after clicking the Create Free Tempory Site button, etc.

Also, what version of Windows are you using?

When it crashes, is there an error displayed?

If so, check to see if you can show any additional details about it. (There might be some linked text saying "Show details" or something along those lines.)

If you can, copy the information that appears when you click Show Details and paste it in with your reply. This should help in identifying the cause.

Also, if you have not already, I recommend re-creating the preference files to see if that resolves the issue.

I am also facing the same issue, my dreamweaver CS6 is running on Windows Vista ultimate, as i go through site- manage site- business catalyst- the initialisation starts but crashes immediately   , windows give msg of adobe software has stopped working and has to be closed.

In the report program of Vista- it shows a problem of DEP(Data execution prevention), when there i try to put the CS6 program as exception from DEP windows doesn't allow it.

i am not able to use business catalyst feature due to this.

    kindly help me out.

    Hi again,

In my case there is no error message as such only '...has stopped working and has to be closed' just as in rohantherascal's post. I have tryed folloing the link you posted and it didnt work - i have also tried what ss33245 has sugested and still no luck...

I feel this is a waist of time and money now a feature i was realy looking forward to and i cant use it - Its definatly not hardware as i can run everything else on here just that one option.

Is there a setting somewhere maybe stopping it comunicating with the BC servers?

I have re-installed as i would have thought this would have solved it even checked my firewall etc any more ideas???

    Regards,

I am having the same problem as porage167 ... to be exact, when i first installed Dreamweaver and the Business Catalyst extension with it, it worked perfectly fine, but after i clicked on the log out button on it, it stopped working completely and every time i try to log back in, it crashes the whole Dreamweaver program... I have tried re-installing Dreamweaver, and it seamed to work again, but after i restarted my laptop, it stopped working again. I am guessing that it has something to do with the login, but have no idea how to fix it.

I am running on Windows 7 HP pavilion dv7 laptop with a 2.10 GHz processor, 4GB RAM and more than enough harddisck space for everything to run good.
