So I recently downloaded the CS6 Design and Web Premium. Photoshop works just fine, however Illustrator and InDesign crash on launch. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the suite, I went through and made sure all previous CS5.5 files were deleted from my computer, and I checked and rechecked to make sure that my computer is up to date.
I have a Macbook Pro running Lion. I'll gladly provide the crash information Illustrator gives me if needed.
Any ideas? It's so random that it's leaving me stumped on what to do.
Thanks, Ashley C.
Could be anything, but if it affects both programs, there seems to be a common cause. Could be anything from permissions issues to problems with the graphics setup. having more info would indeed help. also have a look around in the product forums. Some of the Mac people there might know what to do...

Holy cow, believe it or not, it was a permissions issue.
I had a slight issue with my Photoshop when I first opened it, but it actually gave me an error message so I knew where to look and what I needed to do. Illustrator and InDesign just crashed with no warning or message so I wasn't sure what was causing it.
So, it was a permissions issue and I just applied the Preference file permissions in my Library to everyone. So, thanks for putting that permissions thing back in my head! They open up nicely now.
